OK
Didnt mean anything by it bud.
I havent got the new RTR kits and didnt know they went conical with the gears on it.
From what i have been told the new ZX-1R pro and RTR has cnc gears.
The first run of RTRs that i had in stock, had heat treated gears that had some issues.

Hey James... James! JAMES!!!! Ummm... I mean King Ed the 1st...

(Yeah, we're just wrong... )

Cam looked good (his car, with him driving it... ) Mike was doing ok too... not a bad first outing.

Did Mike have the same issue for the same reason twice? I knew he blew the first one, said he thought it was because of shims... we dug through the box to find another pinion, neither he nor I knew there was a difference. (That was after practice, he missed getting the buggy teched because he was working on it.)

I just picked up my factory kit last night and it looks pretty good. The fit and finish seem to be on par with the rest of the higher end kits that are out on the market. I just cant wait to try it this weekend!!!

I'll change if you can convince them. The Caster steers, the Mugen doesn't, was gonna get one but didn't hear back on the buggy (I know they got delayed) and wanted SOMETHING to drive that would turn.

Found the used Losi cheap, with a new chassis and lots of new parts.

I have driven a losi and they dont have much more steering than my mugen, i dont think u know what u are talking about DOMIT, the mugen does not push as bad as u make them out to...

In fact i drove a losi with such a bad setup that it pushed like a front end loader... maybe you need to learn how to set it up...

Hey guys, you should be able to order from the website later this morning. Lets try and keep this thread to Caster related issues. I have personally driven the losi, mugen, ocm, jammin, and obviously now the Caster and my personally feel that they are all good cars. All of them have thier week and strong points ( including the Caster car ). I am an electric driver at heart, and like a car that is balanced has good steering balanced with good traction, and is stable. The Caster car fits all three criteria. The car has never bitten me in the butt in a race. If it wrecks, its because I wrecked it! It is truly the fastest and most stable car I have ever run. Only time will tell, but from everyone that has bought one so far, that has been the general way of thinking. Setup doesnt change much from track to track. I had to make 4 small changes from my standard setup to make it midpack in the b at the proseries finals. In my opinion that is not much at all. It lets you concentrate on driving, and not worry about if you made the right change or not. Heres to a good 08 season.

It comes built! Add your fluids (Shock and Diff) and go! However... I personally would pull out any screws that go into metal and add Loctite.

As for anyone out there who thinks "A kit for that cheap? Must be garbage!" go look at one. Quality is EVERY BIT AS GOOD as cars costing much more. Heavy duty hard anodized CNC machined parts... good plastic compound on the plastic parts- not too soft, so they aren't sloppy, and not too hard so they aren't brittle... some nice design features, it is well thought-out. I would say this car compares directly in quality to a Mugen MBX5R.

Cam looked REALLY good at the Nats. I don't know how he's done in the past, but to make even the B-main when there are guys out there like Wheeler and Taylor James... it is a competitive car. He isn't running "mid pack" with this car... he was in the top 1/3 and that's impressive. Mike is having "growing pains..." he isn't used to the car yet, doesn't have the setup quite where he wants it... but he looked good too. The car is smooth over jumps and stable in turns, no drama or silliness.
