I'm still working on updating my SP1 My credit card cant keep up with all the updated kits coming out. I'll basically have a WC by summertime. just in time for racing. Looks like I'll have some big bores here in the next month or so. What should I be using for oil, springs,.....

Is this BigRed from LSRCC? If so, shoot me a PM, I can hook you up with great prices on Kyosho parts.

Thanks,
Casey

I ran the same setup this past summer/fall and it was dialed.

Do ANY of the MP777 iterations come with dual FRONT brake discs? My SP2 (converted SP1) came from the original owner with 2 discs on the front side of the center diff. I assumed it was typical but after doing some digging it seems as though this is something unique to my car.

Anyone know anything about this?

all the mp777 buggies came with just one single in front and one single in rear.. now the previous owner may have taked the rear and put it on the front.. as per his driving style.. so..

The Kanai 2 7.5 came with dual discs front and rear, but I've found that single fiberglass discs front and back never leave me wanting for more stopping power.

Default Considering a purchase....

I have always Losi or Associated... I currently own an RC8.

I am considering a K-Buggy, but I have a couple questions...

1. Do the newest WC kits inlcude big bore shocks?

2. What in general about these cars makes them so good? I have to say the pictures I see don't really knock my socks off but I'm sure with the racing success that these cars have enyoyed there must be something... so what is it?

3. Can anyone compare the experience with an 8ight, RC8 or 777 WC?

Thank you!

i had a hyper 8 and just got a sp2 and its not that amazing. it does have a very well balenced design, no one feture is amazing its just a good car. its very durable so far. its steering and jumping seem to beat the hyper8. thats my opinion so far on it.

WC doesn't come with big bores and the parts quality is better than most cars. Its durable, thats why it wins races. The RC8 and Losi are not as durable, and upgrade parts bring it to the same price of a Kyosho or more.

You don't have to buy any hopups for the Losi..It's good out of the box.
You would have an argument about the longevity of the parts over time though..Kyosho has Losi beat there..
Kyosho is still overpriced though..The Xray has way more features and the parts are as good, if not better quality than the Kyosho.

I agree with the parts quality. My car is 3 years old now and I'm still using the same diff gears that came with the car. In fact the only parts i've replaced is an A arm and the steering knuckles. The only real "weak" spot I found are the steering knuckles. I replaced them with King Headz. This year I will replace the stuff that is worn out and buy parts off of Ebay to upgrade to a WC. Cheaper than buying a new car. I really cant tell you how the Kyosho buggy compares to Ofna, Associated,... I've only driven one other car and that was an Ofna 9.5mbx. It wasnt a bad car, just didnt handle like the Kyosho. Losi is a good car, but it does need upgrades to make it durable. I really dont pay to much attention to them so maybe they fixed the issues they had. The RC8 was in the same boat. It is a new kit and they'll get the bugs worked out of it. But for now I plan on sticking with Kyosho, I know what they and I know I can rely on them for a quality product. Even if I have to pay more for it.

I dont get where people keep getting this from, the losi does NOT need any hop up parts..at all.The car does wear quickly but it is fantastic out of the box,i have tried nearly all of the alloy upgrades and the car does not need them.
