Why does someone need 200 oz/in to move a slide in a carb? When you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, the front drive shafts like to keep the front wheels straight, hence the need for lots or torque to keep the wheels turned.

Yeah, you need torque for the brakes, but 100 oz/in enough for an 1/8 scale.

If I was talking touring cars, I would have posted it in the onroad section.

You don't need 200oz to move a slide in a carb, but you do need a lot of torque to apply brakes.

if you were fast, eddy, you would need a stronger steering servo....and who uses 200oz-in for braking? I know I (and most solid drivers) never have there brakes set to lock...that is just foolish and slow.

So, yeah, use a stronger servo for steering than throttle/brake....

An argument about what servos to use ? Just merely stating what I use and recommend, but like anything else on here, you'll get different answers from everyone.

As for being fast, I never claimed that and never will.

yeah i have, I kept having to make setup changes to calm the steering down. (Which in my opinion is better than having to find steering..LOL) But all in all car was good. Ended up really close to the Scott Hughes setup, with only a few changes, and on this track holeshots were the ticket so it had a really good groove.

What did the 48 tooth spur gear do for you? what do you like about the change? What is the stock spur gear?

stock is a 46 tooth...the 48 will give you more bottom end & quicker acceleration...it gets the gear ratio closer to a SLOWSI
