Bombproof drivetrain and plastics, shocks work very well but are not hard coated and can wear fast compared to other parts of the car. You can't go wrong with an MBX-5.

LOL, what are you doing here ? hahaha ..... going to taste off roads right ?

Yo man, I'm also playing some off roads now with Hyper8. I bought Hyper8 last year, and I haven't got the mood to play it until last week. Playing off road is fun ..... and off road's people are ( in general ) more friendly.

MBX5 is good stable car on dirts, but if you still crash alot, many said the front arms are not that strong compare to Jammin or Hobao or XB8.

Good luck with your new adventure.

At the moment I'm thinking to buy a Truggy : MBX5T or XT8. .... very confusing

I'm thinking of getting MBX5R, but I heard the pivot ball joint keeps coming out, after a few jumps. Is it true??? If yes, is there any ways to stop it? Please advice... I really like to own this buggy, but this is the only obsticle for me to solve. And I really like to jump...

Don't let the Pivot ball thing worry you there is a very simple fix by putting a sleeve over the plastic i have put about 8-9 litres through the arms now and they have been great .
I personally broke 3 arms over 3 meetings before this Mod , Mugen were good they did replaced all 3 sets as they said there was an Injection mold fault with them

The very first set i did i made were to long at 8mm i think but this last set was only 3mm and have been solid

This is the 8mm sleeve but like i said the last set has been 3mm long

I've never had a pivot ball come out on me but I have broken two right side front lower arms on the same jump section. I did notice with the replacement arms I got that the moulds were different to the original two.

Slippery, you don't happen to have your broken arms still do you? Check out around the anti-roll bar mounting area. The newer arms have more material in that area.

i Did notice the extra material in the sway bar area , don't know why they have done this ?? seems to be a funny place to put extra material

I'm wondering if it was actually done to improve the moulding process and not the direct final product, if that makes sense.

Either way, I haven't broken one of the new arms yet.

Typical mugen running changes from time to time , no big deal will eventually use the new arms , couldn't believe my luck breaking 3 arms in 3 meetings but my old X5pro is still running at the track on 18mth old arms no problems.. must of walked under a ladder that day when i bought those arms

Tally so far:

2 front lower right side arms.
1 front upper right side arms.
2 shock mounting bushes, right side of course.
1 wing mount screw, washer and plastic surround.

All from two seperate but identical accidents on the same jump.

I kinda decided to join the darkside... MUGEN MBX5R Juz got to keep my fingers cross on the pivot ball thing, but I still believe it will be a buggy to fly...
