Parking has been a problem there for some time now. So, are there too many dedicated off-road tracks in so cal now? LOL, I think not!!!

R.P.S will be opening soon and will initialy have an 1/8 scale off road track. The lot is big enough and they will be putting in a 1/10 scale track a well in the near future. It is Ontario on Archibald and 4th. It will be a very large track.

Dang, that blows. I love visiting Revelations onroad. Of course, I only run offroad right now, the onroad track there got me into this hobby. I used to go every other day for close to half a year just to learn how to drive onroad (never did learn...) But I do want to get back into it as offroad just is not as cool to me as onroad...now where to find a nitro onroad track close to Santa Barbara, I havent looked.... This so bums me out!

Sun Valley has a HUGE onroad track. Sun Valley is up near the burbank airport off the 5.

Ventura Roadrunners is in Camarillo as well. Nice smaller onroad track.

So are they going to move all the dirt to the onroad track to make the old offroad track a parking lot?

JBRL electric series is coming on May 20th. Is there going to be any down time?

Whats the scoop Dana?

The problem with Sun Valley is that too many people show up...its a zoo. And I heard from racers who frequent it that if you are not good, (which I am not) that the owner may ask you to leave. (rumor alert!)

Does Ventura Roadrunners do Nitro? Is it a prepped track or parking lot, as I will not do parking lot racing.

Ventura is a prepped track. I am not suprised about your rumor of SVM.

The current off-road track WAS the parking lot until a few years ago. It's still under there, stripes and all.

I think that Dana just made a pragmatic decision to go with the numbers. It sucks that the onroad is closing, but he's going to do MUCH better concentrating on the off-road side.

I can't wait to see the first car end up out on Monte Vista...LOL

Crap....as I am sure I would love driving on the track too:-( I will miss thee Revelation!

And Dana, because of your help when I started 2 summers ago, I am loving this hobby even more. You most likely wouldnt recognize me from Jo Shmoe, but I was just a college kid using it as a tool to stay out of trouble, bringing my NTC3 there. Damn you would scare the crap out of me with your 8th scale onroad, and you'd usually tell me "drive your line, Ill go around you!" Still that wall sucked me in Then later I got into offroad as it was cheaper, and ran my brushless RC18t to death out there. Your crew is top notch, very nice and informative, and you kept both tracks fun. Best of luck to you and God Bless.

Sorry I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I was reading through this thread and found the above being said.

I'm a SV Speedway local and I have attended both offroad and onroad club races at SV and never witnessed Richard B. (operator of SV Speedway) asking anyone to leave because they are not good. Richard never closes sign ups and welcomes all to run.
