Anybody running Lipo rx packs in their ECs? What fits well?
#366
lipo
Hey i just switched over to lipo. The fit is fine. you will just have to put some padding in for the battery, I also 2way tapped down the rx.

No, I dont use the same pack in both....
I think both regulators would do fine in either, but the MuchMore had a higher amp rating and with 2 steering servos in the truck, I went that way.
I have run this in the truck, did all three heats and a 30 minute main, and then went bashing the next day, and never charged the pack. That truck has 2- 200oz servo's fore steering and a 170oz throttle servo, so the battery gets hammered.
Even though theoretically I could charge at 2 amps, I never charge over 1 amp and once a month I balance with a blinky.

The truggy comes out of the box with lower front and rear gearbox ratios so it uses the same size spur and cb as the buggy. Lots of guys go with a 48t spur to gear a little lower. I have one for sale (Xray 48t spur gear) if you need it. V-specs are great truggy engines but you may want a JP3 or 2050 pipe for more stomp on the bottom end, the 2060 is smooth, better for buggies.
