you mean adding in a 0.7 to existing setup? What benefit did you gain from doing this?

no to replace one of the 0.5 mm ocm shimms by a 0.3 shimm
to create more free shock movement

here is a good starting point

Diffs 5,5,2
drill pistons in shocks to 1.5 Standard 1.4
40wt oil front and back
Rear toe 2.5 -3 deg
Rear Camber 3 deg
Rear shock position top is 2 out from inside and on lower arm inside position.
Rear upper arm inside middle position on shock tower and middle on upright.
1.25 insert facing up for anti squat.
Rear upright position bottom hole.
Medium long wheel base.
front lower arm anti dive 1.25 insert down
front inboard toe. No 1 insert in
Run Full caster and dial out when more steering required.
Steering knuckle inside hole
Front Camber 1 Degree
Front shock position up top is 2 out from inside and inside hole on lower arm.

As a side note I've been messing with set-ups mostly due to lasyness on my behalf but I've now done 2 race meets on dirt with 30k in centre 20k in front and 10k diff oil in rear and was able to dial aggressiveness out of car with geometry. It really does respond well to geometry changes.
I will be going back to original set-up, but I found it was just a good learning curve for me with geometry and driving a difficult car.

The guys on RC net have some good set-ups too try this OCM Kaos DT-19 build pics +50 Pics

got some input from Australian pilot Nick Drygala

diff meshing: I was running 2 shims on the pinion and 2 on the diff
to mesh closer. Also I was running 8 shims inside the diff instead of
4. Made it very nice and smooth.
Set up : the 1.5mm hole shock pistons try 45 front and 40 rear.
I was using OCM white spings on front and Hong Nor red springs on rear.
Diff 3000 front 7000 centre and 3000 rear.

Spoke to Ian HALEY last night,
He run a strange set up which He said was hard to drive but fast.
1000 in front diff 3000 in centre and 750 in rear.
35 shock oil all round with 1.5mm pistons
Hong Nor red shock springs all round
2.7mm front sway bar
2.8mm rear sway bar
The rear uprights were MUGEN and he said that worked very well.

Hey guys my hobby shop just got a buggy in and they know nothing about it. How are yours holding up after some use? Any problems in terms of common broken parts each race? Hows the plastic? I had an Ofna that the plastic just got trashed quickly, I felt like I was always rebuilding the thing

How about support in terms of setups and parts availability?

What buggy would you say this drives the closest to? I have driven Hyper 7, Jammin and Losi 8ight. I actually liked the way the Hyper drove the best. It allowed me to be aggressive when needed and took it like a mule. Is this buggy's driving characteristics similar or more like the 8ight where you need to be patient (of which I admittedly have little)

If that is your driving charactoristics then this IS the buggy for you. It is the most robust buggy that I have ever owned and can take punishment way better than a mule

Mine is about 4 race old and about a gallon nitro for training has gone into my DT-19 and I have not changed a single part on the DT-19.........except the wing

Parts availability is dependent on your LHS I think as for my LHS no worries with parts at all.

Checkout the video in this thread and you will see how effortlessly high and far the DT-19 can jump. There were some diff gear tolerance issue sometime back but that has been sorted out.

mad set up, gotta love the OS Speed, how is that running? was thinking of grabing one myself but its a bit expensive for a modded V-spec, 569AUD, good to hear that the OCM is getting good results , im itching to get out with my new race gear this weekend should be good.
