That's the battery connector.

Mods I have done:
Alloy shocks & caps (gold colour)
RPM spring retainers on the shocks
Traxxas rod ends for the lower shock ends
purple hex hub clamps (HPI part # 86300)
Proline Snake Eyes tyres all round.
HPI graphite top deck.
Hellfire fuel filter
RPM long rod ends for all turn buckles
Futaba 9451 servo for steering
Water ballons for shock boots

question, would a stronger throttle/break servo give me better breaking? i want to be able to lock the wheels but i cant do that without massive amount of drag break (not a good idea if you want your break assembly to stay assembled)?

and the steering servo is very weak... i'm going to get another...

Yip, get a quick servo too

I found my brake was sticking closed, so I put a spring on the throttle arm to push the brake off when the brake is released.

ok, i want to take the steering servo out, do i need to take the whole top deck off? it doesn't matter if i need to, it needs a clean, its just it looks tricky with all those screws...

well, i think the firestorm is brilliant... the only problem is, i dont like the brake disc. they shatter easily, and they don't use a standard fixing. can you buy an aluminium ony, or a converter to fit standard discs? hey, how many teeth does that clutch bell have? it looks like it says 29...

The reason I made this is because I did actually break my front bulkhead and needed somthing to hold it together while the new one came in and realised this should also help protect it from happening again!

It is a rough job made only to work until the new parts came in so I will be making a nice more manufactured looking one shortly.

what exactly is the bulk head that broke?

or

thanks! im planing to get one looks nice and simple to maintain.
also is the differential sealed? i heard they just put greese in instead of differential oil. can i change it to diff oil will it work better?

you can replace the diff oil really easily, although the tranny is a bit hard to get to (underneath the shock towers... ugh. about 12 screws needed to undo.)
and the bulkhead that breaks is the bottom peice you circled yes. thats the only bit apart from the brake disc and servo saver (big crash) i have ever replaced. twice. i hope they come out with an aluminium one. or i could machine one at school...

Does anyone race there Firestorm competitively? It looks like it can hang with Losi's, GT2s, and XC's.

anyone interested in racing their 'storm go here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_50..._1/key_/tm.htm
from people's opinions the firestorm is utter pwnage (excuse the gamer language)
one guy said someone running a firestorm came first in the A main against a load of losis and associateds! of you are considering going for one do it! all i need to do is fiddle with the tuning so i can get some good performance out of it. (maybe my slipper is loose thinking about it)
