Well guy's, i just installed a RB Mod's VG into my Losi 8. Im gonna take some pick's of the mod. The crank work is amazing. A buddy of mine won it in a raffle and didn't want it. so i bought it off of him. I have one stock VG and one modded..Ill give a report as soon as i get back from the track.

hey guys, got to do alittle running again.

My clutch seems to be giving me issues, it locks up to the flywheel and won't spin freely when not engaged.

I have tore it down before but still had the same problem. I am going to look at the clutch bearings to see if I can fix that with new ones.

O.S. VG ran really strong for the little I could run it.

Yeah sounds like clutch bearings! Try to set the gear mesh with some play to help the bearings last a little longer...

Good call, I am very impressed with the value of the VG, and the fact that it rips too!!!

I am gonna get one soon! After I buy a truggy!

I ran the VG this weekend with Rocket Science fuel and what a difference in temps. My temps were way down. The outside temps were in the 90's and the engine temp did not get over 230.

has anybody else experienced a big loss of compression at about a gallon and a half. my vg has very little pinch. 5 people at my track all with vg motors have got the most of 1 to 1.5 gallons of fuel out of there vg's, that's all.

Are you guys confusing pinch with compression? The metallic pinch in my VG was gone in 6-8 tanks! I'm at a gallon and there is absolutely no metallic pinch, but still has good compression. The engine is running excellent so far...very impressive for the low cost!

Anyone with 5+ gallons on their VG?

I have ceo mods vg and it has 1 gallon on it. Runs awesome, no plug issues, great motor for the money. Remember this a $150 motor(stock) not a 400 motor. Speed and durability cost money.

150 bucks or not, the motor is manufactured by a good company with proven history. they even offer a 2 yr warranty on the vg motor, i would think that the motor would last at least a few gallons, maybe even 5 gallons.

has anybody dealt with os's service department?
