Started break-in today, Jumped right to life on the starterbox, I havent been able to see the top end yet, still on teh fat side and breaking in still, But the throttle responce is like nothing i have ever seen and bottom end is impressive..!!!!

On a side note the TG series of steering servos are worth the money..! WOW

I am glad to hear good things about these engines. I will be breaking in .21VG for my buggy and a .30VG for my truggy this weekend

I have heard of guys running .21 VGs in there truggies too. If I do a truggy, may look into that. Would be cool if they released a .28 VG.

Hey guys. Figured I would post more info after my last run of the engine in my matrix buggy.

All I can say is HOLY CRAP this engine is very nice!

It makes loads of low end torque, combined with the 086 pipe, It is one heck of an engine. Was very closely matched to the novarossi $300 engine a buddy of mine was running on a medium sized track.

Only thing I got work on is getting it to fire alittle better now. Its more a setting issue as I think the low end is too rich. Basically, I have to pinch the fuel line or plug the end of the pipe to get it to fire and get on the throttle a bit so it doesn't die out. Once going it runs great, temps in the 240 range with loads of power.

Does this sound like I need to lean out the low speed needle a bit?

Hey, I ran mine for about a half gallone yesterday as well, I ran rich most of the day only leaning out into the 230 at the end. The jump from 215 -220 to 230 is HUGE in terms of power, At 230 this motor is ballistic.

I'll be ordering another one when my funds allow me to do so..! LOL

Is this engine easily to break-in? I am hoping to have my kit done by this weekend and break-in the engine this weekend or next.

Manny
