Not sure about t5m, but my whole front end is t4.2. arms, spindals, c hubs. shocks, hex's, rear hex's, hubs, tie rods front and rear are t5,b5 stuff. my wheels are also t4.2 t5 wheels. were gonna bring back this class where we live in spring. a bunch of us just picked up some, gas trucks.

Yea. I have a gt now and have a gt2 with os cv on its way. Almost has everything to build a second truck. Also comes with a Trinity Drake .12. I was told I may be a special colet to run the gt2 flywheel on the drake .12. Anyone know anything about that?

It depends on the crank shaft, there are 2 types, one has a pilot shaft and the other is a threaded style. but either one will work, the threaded style you need to cut the crank and get the clutch nut adapter from team associated.

here is the link

It has a threaded / turbo style crankshaft

It sounds like you have the correct "SG style crank", and should fit. The GT2 was designed to use this type of motor. My old Team Losi GTX and Kyosho MP5 was designed to use the old "Standard style crank". I hated those old designs, was always nervous about cutting a brand new motor!
The stock collet should work, you will be able to tell when you go to assemble it! I personally never had a Trinity motor, but should be the same as other motors?

Well, got sick of no one posting anything on it, so I just picked up a t5m to turn into a gas truck.

My goal is to use as little of gt2 parts as possible. Hopefully the transmission and motor mount only......... We will see.

I've scene a couple people weld up the rear chassis s hole and drill new ones to fit the Gt transmission.

Perhaps the GT mounts for throttle servo would work.

Fuel tank from the GT also, bottom mount.

Battery box from a GT2.

Have a SC5M and I'm THINKING!!!!!!! :-)

Besides T4.2 parts, what other parts should I get for my GT2? I'm building a new kit.

What new engine would be a good choice given choices these days?

Thought about a SC5M-Nitro long enough to do a base mock-up.

FYI

Here is a link to the mock-up, you will go to RCTen.com forum.
