Yup, that's the one... LOL! Not exactly a life altering quote of fantastic intelligence, but it's a quote none the less!

Default Steering Knuckles

Madhacker

What steering knuckles are you using? In post number 380 they look like metal or alluium. Just wonerding i could be wrong.

I have been reading this thread for the past month and it has been a lot of help.
Thanks
Josh

I went back and looked at the photo... it does look kind of shiny. I was using a flash when I took the photo, so this is what probably caused it to look almost like aluminum.

I can confirm, however, that I am indeed running the stock axle carriers (aka: steering knuckles).

I'm glad that you've been able to find the information in this thread useful Josh! Enjoy your Hellfire!

Yeah, I kinda stole the paint scheme... from 'monster energy' drink, LOL! It worked out good. I actually had little kids come up and ask me if I was sponsored by Monster... to which I kindly replied, 'no'.

I have a XXL can every morning.

Well this sunday is our last day of fun. We have a Pumpkin soccer match. 3 on 3 grudge match of playing soccer with a pumpkin. 6 trucks/truggies going head on into each other trying for the pumpkin. It should be fun. Im bringing my hellfire and a pair of LSP's for my back up truggies. I'll try to get pics of the event or even video.

well my team took first. My team was my H.F., and my LSP, my friend Jim and his savage and my co worker Nick with his XTM mammoth and XTM buggy. I started off with the LSP. I figured with it's aluminum arms it should be more solid. First round I broke the front left hub. I kept going dragging the one tire around with me. Then I got slammed by a revo and that finished off the LSP. The first hit was full speed into a LST2 also going full speed. I then pulled out my H.F. Nick's Mammoth busted it's steering after plowing through a revo and LST and then the plywood wall. The Savage's brake disk cracked in half. The H.F. did very well. I did countless head on crashes and t bones with it and it held strong. With 30 seconds left in the final round with us up 7 to 0 I finally busted the front arm off. But we had the win so I just watched it end. I didn't get to see all the rounds because I had to work inside the hobby shop most of the time. All and all we had a great time. 3 rounds of 15 minutes each and only 2 broken trucks. Im happy because they are easy fixes.

Well the AGM here in Calgary brought a nice surprize .... I took Third in the points for a nice little trophy .... I guess I did a little better than I thought this year with the HellFire SS powered by the mighty RB928

I'm running the werks clutch with no problems..Way better than the stock clutch..It takes some time to learn how to set it up but once you do you wont go back to a stock set up..
