So, what are your thoughts on clutch setups? On the buggy we are running 2 carbons and one alluminum shoe with a 1.1 spring on the alluminum. From what I gather the bkue shoes are really good.

Is it common not to run all aluminum shoes buggy and truggy? I was thinking of trying the stock composite shoes with an aluminum 1 or two in there, but wasn't sure.

For the truck you want to use the blue alum shoes with gold 1.1 springs.

No it is not all the way stock. I added some of the red hop-ups, just for some extra eye candy, but they are not needed to make this truck race ready. Out of the box it is ready to go.

Default Chassis Barce mod

I have a new mod but have not taken pictures yet.

The Matrix TR Arena has zero chassis flex, so the chassis won't bend and your clutch bells will last a very long time. But on bumpy tracks and very dusty tracks, chassis flex helps the vehicle handle better and gives it more traction.

If you want more rear traction, take the rear chassis brace and cut all of the ribs out with a dremel cutting wheel. Then cut a section of the sides on both sides in the middle. This will allow the rear of the chassis to flexx forward slightly and twist some.

If you want more steering, do the same to the front molded chassis brace. Take a little off at a time and then check your acheived flex. Cut more if needed but don't cut it down too much or it can break or cause too much flex allowing the clutch bell/spur gear mesh to change.

I tried this mod and it made a big difference. I'd recommend getting an extra set of braces so that you can quickly change then depending on track conditions.
