Horizon Hobby, Tower Hobbies, and A-Main Hobbies all sell the CEN cars and parts. You can also order from CEN Direct. You will not have any problem getting hop-ups or replacement parts...

Default Tuning Setup

OK I have a stock TR with a some what updated steering servo. At off power the steering is OK but on power (with gass on) the steering is a lot wider. Is there anything I can do to improve on power steering. The current servo is 190 oz.

try removing the sway bar.. you could run the lower roll center option up front ( be sure to check steering for binding and reset camber.).

you can also try to loosen the rear of the truck.. by roll center changes. generally the shorter the link.. ( uppper camber link.. adjusted at shocktower) the shorter the link the faster the car will react or faster it transfers wieght.. loosining the rear will greatly affect steering.. ( certainly change both sides : ) lol..

Just a few things I mess with first... the next step would be diff wieghts.. and then I look at sqat and toe at the rear..

also some toe out in the front will help with turn in!.. but not sure on its on power affect...
anyone else... Oh.. and you can set your rear brake to lock at full.. by shortening the spring or tubing on its linkage.. leaving the fronts longer will give you a more controled braking feel until full lock up is applied allowing the front to barely spin and rear to lock... ( may take some patience and fine tuning..) but once you get it you can use the brake to scitch or slilde around the corner... this works best on tight tracks or with a drifty driving style..

I like the 2t3s toe block lately. Way more on power steering.

BTW, The CEN Matrix TR Arena wins the RC Pro East Coast Series last weekend. That is 3 series championships with my Truck in less then 2 years. It is dialed right now. The new arms and the 2' toe block made a big differnce.

2006 FSORS 1/8 Truck Champion
2007 FSORS 1/8 Truck Champion
2007 RC Pro East 1/8 Arena Truck Champion

Is it normal for the tr arena to have a noisy drivetrain? This thing sounds terrible. My matrix buggy makes no noise in comparison.

I blew a clutch bell way back..( mounts moved) was not aware until truck was pulled.. so it wore the spur as well.. ran for about 1/2 gal until new spur arrived.. was LOUD when it was worn.. .. once replaced is quiet..
my thoughts if you have noise. something is wrong somewhere.. i also shim my diffs.. you may have a skipping ring gear: )

too many things to guess at.. but you may have gear mesh a little tight on the bell and spur.. best to invesitigate

There should be no abnormal noise on the truck. It should be quite like the buggy.
