Is the rtr chassis the same as the FRE chassis? It shows the same part number in the replacement parts on the CEN site but on other sites it list a hard anodized for the FRE???

It is the ame thing. I wish the FRE chassis was milled out to shave some weight.

In two days of track testing, I have now broke two front "A" Spindles. They have broke on the bottom where the screw enters. I have just ordered the red upgrade, but I was wondering if I might have something wrong that I am missing?

Other than that, I am starting to get used to the feel of the truck (a lot different than my old Mammoth ST)

Has any of you guy's run a Sportwerks .26 on your TR? We just bought one to run at club level races. It seems a little dead on the top end and was thinking about going up a tooth on the clutch bell. It has just under a 1/2 gallon on break in and is very tight still. It may start to run better after it loosens up some. We have allways run .21's and have never run anything over that. I know they dont turn alot of rpm's like a .21 but I think it should be better on the top.

Thanks Robert, I thought you were all putting in the upgrade as a precaution not because it was neccessary.

i think lockmouth used to run a sportsworks 26, that thing made pretty good power and plenty of top end. maybe he can post if that was what he was running.

Does Cen keep them out of the kit to save on cost or did they hold up during their testing?

This is my first pro kit and I thought items that needed to be upgraded for competitive racing would be included? My bad driving could also account for things breaking?

Default Not to affend you Gene .. Your the man

For those running the LSD
I tried once again to follow Genes setup without the cross pins leaving the diffs with 80w, 7000, and grease..

but the truck is just to aggressive..
went back to the 22* hubs and loosened it up a bit..

so now running a modified setup witch would be .. all shocks setup as Genes most recent setup.. #2 pistons up front #1 in the back... full droop... and the long shock ends...on the rear.. short up front..
45wght up front 35 in the rear...

Ran a Blowed out rutty track that was dusty and hard pack.. Truck felt very neutral.. good turn in and very stable... probly could have ditched the front sway.. but IM lazy..

Im going to 5 in the center.. I suspect this to be my last major change as the truck feels good at this point. If this helps anybody,,

Still lovin this truck..

Thanks, I didn't know if there really was a reason, but I thought I would ask. Since this is my first kit build, I really have nothing to compare it to.

Cost is the only reason. But I don't think most other pro kits come with CNC Knuckles either. I know Kyosho and Xray didn't.
