Guys,

Any idea on how to put on diet this truck ?, i was seriously thinking about throwing out the radio battery box ... and put (obviously protected) directly the receiver and the battery to the chassis. I found out on a VERY dusty track, that the internal of the batt box will end up with a lot of dirt so the dirt/dust protection part of the box im not worried about,

thanks for any idea,

cya,

My honest opinion is to get the BCE Chassis. It helps even out the weight and shaves it too.

To make the buggy guards fit on either the stock or FRE chassis all you have to do is cut off the part that I have in the red circle and drill your holes.

If you have the BCE chassis the guards are a direct fit.

Has anyone out there changed there cen matrix Truggy to start with a starter box instead of the pullstart

If so what starter box are you using and what did you have to change on the truggy to get it to work (ie flywheel, engine mounts).

If you could let me know what you did ie what parts and starter box that would be awesome

I am sick of my pull start and am interested to hear from anyone who many have over come the pullstart issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please Help

Cheers

I am not for sure the weight savings, but you can replace your drive shafts with the blue aluminum CEN shafts.

MXS49 Alum. (7075T6) Rear Drive Shaft (Arena

It should cost $11.99. With the backplate, you will be able to lower the engine off the spacers, and have the flywheel be able to touch the wheel. Unless you want to do some serious dremeling to the chassis, this is the easiest fix.

I have actually used this back plate and one of them required dremeling and one was a perfect fit Anyway I use the ofna blue two motor box I think it is around $100 and can run off of two stick packs

You need to use the sportwerks .26 backplate that is a perfect fit on the SH .28. No modding required. Next, you need to take out th 5mm or so spacers off of the engine mounts. Then you can lower the engine, and move it closer to the center.
I use the OFNA 12 Volt chrome top starter box. I haven't had any issues and the box starts up most motors. It's cheaper than the truggy box, and it's universal.
