No, keep the fuel tube long so it goes all the ways to the back of the tank. The 'clunker' on the end is weighted, so if you flip over it drops to the lowest part of the tank so it still gets fuel and doesn't flame out.

I went with a Orion 1600 hump pack. The Li-Po's are kinda pricy.

R40 if you let it setup overnight your going to be golden as far as the shock pistons go.

xxxtracer the small grey top OFNA box will work with the 8ight. You may have to trim the wheel a little. I would suggest dremeling the chassis opening ever so slightly also to aide in starting. I dremeled the opening on mine, took my time with it and it came out really clean and starts MUCH easir.

Read on rcuniverse that the ofna wheels will not work on the Losi 8ight... can anyone comfirm this? What about Proline wheels, or other brands of wheels??

I've got an RD Logics box that works fine. I did trim the wheel. The flywheel opening in the 8ight chassis is slim.

I've got Proline dish rims on my 8ight - no probs. I've also had some Jammin premounts (rippers & shredders) that I used during breakin. Again, no problems.

Same as jimbal - Orion 1600 hump pack. Someday I'll switch over to a lipo rx pack. I've got plenty of hump packs that still work really well. No reason to invest into lipo. ha, I just spent $500 on a new 8ight, and I'm too cheap to buy a Lipo rx pack!

Has anyone stripped out the button head screws that hold the shock pistons on? I've seen two kits with this problem, and one of them had a crack in the shock shaft where the screw threads into.

I think he meant starter box wheels.

I too have a ofna box that will not work, the wheel is to big. I'm kinda glad because I can't stand that box, weighs so much with that 12v motor and gel cell inside.
