I thought that too at one point......then i was 5 min away from winning a local race to only have my rear end loose all power due to the pin being ejected through the GMK condom NOT the thinner losi version...i now ensure the screw and pin are loctited in place and aren't goin anywhere....only if the pin were carptured like the Xray or similar to how the wheel bearing's capture the pins would that work with no worries.

that would have suck I guess I will just not even take the chance ill just want for my rear driveshaft thanks for the in put.

The front and rear cross pins have a flat spot machined on them for the set screw. The four axle CV crosspins don't have the flat spot. If you use the wrong ones in the center F/R driveshaft the pin will work it's way out--eventually. Learned that the hard way a couple years ago.

I have been flying planes for years but am getting into RC cars now and just ordered an 8ight. What servos are people using in this buggy? Thanks everyone!!

on the truggy I have changed the front pinion and the diff case. put it back together and it feels crunchy. is this normal until i run it and they set or is the spacing wrong. I have no shims behind the pinion and two shims on the ring side of the diff. Any help would be great.

did you replace the Ring gear as well ? those are a match set....like a Piston and sleeve....you can shim the notchy feeling out...but be aware that once the gear's mate you will need to re-shim.

i took one shim out and the diff feels smooth. about how many tanks before i should check and reshim. thanks alot intrega.
#8531
you need a very small tick of play between the R+P....i would check the gear in 5-10 tanks and try to add the shim...see what happens.....also make sure you take out the thin shim not the thick for fine tuning.

I just make sure they are in good condition and replace if they are nicked in any way....Im not a fan of Fioroni for much of anything.
