Get the 2.0 side guards as well. Unless you want to dremel. The 2.0 side guards are only $8.50 and fit perfect.

I also think that if you are going to go with the 2.0 tray you have to get the 2.0 linkage as well. I did this just to be safe. I think the 2.0 linkage is longer.

u mean the short hex screw that the manuel tells u do use,i got a radio tray stiffer and rubber grumets underneth the throttle servo what that help everything from stressing out the servo,i used to race elec so im not perfect with linkage setup.the shorter screw that the manuel tells u to use under the battery cause not the longer one

If anyone's interested, I got the following deals online:
- Novarossi N21R (this is the newer club racer 3 port to replace the N2001BF) $170 from speedymodels.com
- Futaba 3PKS Synthesized 75mhz for $214 from stormerhobbies.com

I think the radio is a great deal! catch them while still in stock.

Catch you folks later (probably when I break something )

What are the tires that come with the kit. Step pins? Which compound?

Step pins in silver for the RTR and kit. The Race Roller(RR) comes with XBT tires in red, I think.

My receiver pack is dead and i need a new one. I'm thinking i would like to get a lipo. Can you suggest and one over the other? Or are they pretty much all good. I know to get the highest mAh i can but one company over the other (and best deal wouldn't hurt either) Thanks

One question.

are the turnbuckles on the 8ight the same as the 8ight 2.0?

thats what i thought, I picked up all the pieces to convert the buggy over for like 190 bucks after live cashback. t.u. ebay.

I pretty much built an entire new buggy except the shocks, bearings and diffs (which mine are 2 smart, 1 reg). It needed it, the nitro pit really wears the car out fast.

Does anyone else break wing mounts pretty consistantly? Mine always end up cracking and I dont crash a whole lot.

I broke a wing mount last time I was at the track. It was about a 5-10 foot step up and I hit the jump at an angle and put too much braek in the air and thats what broke it. I found out that the wing mount itself didnt break, the screws just took off some of the plastic. It ran fine with it broken, but the wing was more at an angle.

I have a Losi lipo in my 2.0 and Common Sense lipo in my 8T . I prefer the Protek regulators then the Losi regulators .
