LOSI now makes a screw kit that comes with 5 screws of every size for like 20$ and comes in a nice box just like the shock service kit. Both of thoes are very good to keep on hand.

I wouldnt waste your money on fancy aluminum braces and hardware that you dont need. all it does is make your car heavier and handle like crap.

I recently switched my set up from a "pro" set up to the Losi Race Roller "easy to drive" set up and LOVE it!!

car handles great, turns really well, and is surprisingly stable!
Thanks for the info. Where did you get the "easy to drive" setup?

actually, it's right here http://losi.com/ProdInfo/Files/thodg...RaceRoller.pdf

FYI, I race on a rough, hard pack track and have found that using all carbon clutch shoes with 2 gold and 2 aluminum springs works great. Crimefighter XTR tires are also a great choice.

Thanks! That happens to be my local track also! It's large, smooth, loamy, very loose and dusty until just after watering with big jumps too. I would like to get a setup like that for my 8T also. Do you have the web link for these downloads? I tried going up a directory, but it didn't work. The only setup I got from the losi site was Drake's and it seems hard to drive.

I will try the all carbon setup. Maybe that will help with breaking loose.

You could try this set-up for your 8ight-T

http://losi.com/ProdInfo/Files/8IGHT-T-rossetti.pdf

It was used at Revelation also.

I don't own a truggy so I really dont have any tips or tricks for it. I hope this set-up helps

good luck!

what problems are you having with your 8t? if the rear end is loose try the smaller sway bar and moving the hubs back a little. that is the only 2 changes i have made to mine from the box stock setup and it is great.

hi guys.

i just got myself a race roller losi buggy. i notice there are different in the usage of differential oil.

anyone tested the new race roller versus the earlier kit?
lesser vicousity diff oil will make the car turn faster i guess.

I just got the adjustable hinge pin braces for my car and im wondering what i should be setting them to. I'm pretty new to RC and i was wondering how changing these will effect my setup

Our local track is hard packed, high grip with an open layout with some pretty big jumps.
The other tracks i run are alittle tighter cornered and looser surface

I run both an 8 and an 8T

Id really love abit of an explanation of how changeing these angles front and rear effects the car

The race roller actually has a more forgiving setup than the kit does. This is the setup that Cory put on his 8ight and he loves it

Thumbs up

TIX -
You might want to take a look at the back of your manual. It is very clear on everything about chassis dynamics and how it works. It is basic and easy to read. If you can, try reading it with the car sitting in front of you.
The only thing it does not do is diffrentiate between steering and rotation. They generally call it turning. No big deal.
On buggy rear I run:
toe = .5 in pills
Anti squat = 0 pills
On the front I run 0s.
The Losi manual is very good and we can clarify anything you might have trouble with.
Hope this helps,
TEX

I replaced my servos with Hitec servos now the throttle linkage does not fit. I have a horn for steering that works, but the throttle is not as easy to swap out with Hitec.

What are my options to get the linkage on a Hitec servo? I bought a set of inserts but none of those are Hitec. Suggestions?

The 24T insert should work with Hitec
