r6ryder - Yup! Well, for the most part. The setups are different between the two cars, but changes will react the same. For example, a camber link change will affect the truck the same way it will affect the buggy.

Mike - Thank you for the kind words! It's really all about the people. I always had great support from Team Losi as a customer, so it's nice to be able to pay that back to the hobby.

xlgraphicspro - Haha. Not people, hinge pins!

cornerspeed - That does sound like a bit less work, haha.

When my GAYDAR is working, checking for straightness by spinning the pin with a hex wrench on the car works very well. You can also check for the lock nut being too tight. That has messed me up before. It's pretty easy to see the hub carrier moving/wobbling using the wrench method.

Well today I was pleasantly surprised! I opened up my new flywheel and noticed that the contact patch for the rubber wheel is about 2x as thick. I dont know when this change was made, but Ive had my 8 for about 6 months now...

I just spun both of my rear hinge pins. Both wobble, but I took off the shocks and I have absolutley no binding. My rear end flops freely. I don't understand this problem you guys have. Maybe you're too anal, after all, this is off road...

Just got 8's big brother today ( used) and both rear hinge pins are bent beyond repair, one has about a 15 deg bend, the other is almost 30 deg.

I'll start production of some .25 Inconel pins this Monday night. Inners will be from 3/8 Inconel, drilled out and filled with epoxy, have a ti-n coating and will retail for $99.95. Act now and recieve a free can opener!

I'll be scouring the pits Sunday for some broken shock shafts.

It might not bind but it will throw off your camber or caster or both depending on the bend. it will cause the rear end to be inconsistant on the track.

That's good. My binding problem started after cleaning the buggy. I tightened the lock nuts on the front of the hinge pins too much. With my shocks off, I could lift one arm, let go, and the arm would stay in that exact spot. Thought I had a bent INNER hinge pin. Nope. I loosened the lock nut a little at a time until the arm was loose. So now I leave a gap the size of a 4-40 washer between the arm and the nut. I'm happy now. Just providing info.

I really wish rctech would do like the rccaraction forum, where after 100 pages, the thread would be closed, but a new one started labeled "thread x-2"...much easier to search.

If that's the general concensus around here, I can start doing that for the off-road forum.

Is that what everyone would like?
