My bad. No, I haven't heard of a RX pack like that. Do you have a link? Maybe someone else can help you. But I don't know much about those.

When are the races going on? Do they have a website? I would be interested in heading down that way some weekend.

Matt howard had a good suggestion. Round 3 of the RC pro North series is being held in Omaha Nebraska at the hobby town USA hobby PLEX. September 29-30. The track is so well engineered, that all you have to worry about is going fast.

It's alot closer, and about 50% of us drive Losi 8ights. On top of that we have probably the largest on site hobby shop geared toward racing.

After seeing our facility, I promise you won't find a nicer one. The hobby shop is "GIG-antic" Def= fricken huge!

They also stock parts for all the major 1/8th scales in production Losi, Mugen, Jammin, Xray, Ofna

OK, I see what you're talking about. I still don't know though. Sorry. If they fit, it sounds pretty good. Should have plenty of runtime. I have seen a few batteries poking through the battery box lids on the 8. I didn't ask them what battery they were using though. surely someone here knows.

Cool. Thanx. Omaha is only about 4hrs from here. I think. Is there any good racing soon. I'd like to do some practice racing up there. I had a friend just move from Grand Island down to OKC a month ago. I think Omaha and GI are about the same travel time.

hey guys i got a few things to post. the new aluminum top brace is the coolest part yet for the 8ight. i just mine installed today. i will post pictures tomorrow. secondly, 5 cell AA packs are okay if you assemble them yourself. i bought the pack available from ballistic batteries and found it did not fit well at all in the 8ight without some dremeling so i ditched it and stuck with the typical 1600mah marathon hump pack. lastly, at the end of July the rc pro series will be at leisure hours raceway in Juliet, IL. i have been up there a few times and the track is SICK awesome. high traction and can get kinda technical. there are some very fast locals that can make feel like your driving a 1/10th scale monster truck on the track. bring out your panther switch 2.0 tires and broken in OS speed tuned engine and you might keep up. check out their site for directions because mapquest is way off.
