There's 5 of us with Losi's 8's and 3 of us with 8t's also, and all of us are using 3 shoes and werk's clutch's. Im not saying the Losi clutch is bad, Im just use to my 3 shoe. For me the Losi clutch never "hit" right. If you get a chance try it, You may like it. I like mine so much i got rid of both set's of my losi flywheel's and shoes. kingheadz included.

Interesting. I'm going to try it soon. Maybe after this weekend. Or during. Who knows.

Are the 1.0 springs a medium? Also, how much difference is there between say...56 pistons to 55 pistons? I know the lower numbers are smaller holes, but by how much? I can't tell by looking at them. I only see a diff between the 56 and the 54. It seems to make a big difference on the shock oil too.

You've got that backwards (about piston hole size). The Smaller numbers are bigger holes. If you compare 55/35 wt rear oil with say 56/27.5wt the 56 piston setup will have more high speed compression damping, known as "pack" in RC circles. It will resist bottoming better, the car will ride a little higher in the ruts and it will be more stable. Weight transfer is slower with more pack so it might slow the handling of the car down slightly.

I'm currently running a 3 shoe Mugen set-up on my C6. Mugen aluminium shoes & 1.0 Mugen springs + the 14T Robinson racing Losi style clutch bell. On my S5 I'm running the Ferioni turbo slider with 2 hard & 1 soft spring & a Losi 14T CB. No damage to the tank but slight marks where it has been touched by the CB. Stock motor mounts on both set-ups.

I don't think they really exist. They're kind of like all the other great accessories that Losi advertises for the 8ights (Starter box, etc.), just something to get you to buy the car with the hopes of cools things to make it better. But actually getting those accessories may never happen
