That's the only engine I have run in my 8ight so far. It ran perfectly with the 14 bell on it.

There is more to the overall gear ratio of a car than simply the spur gear and clutch bell.

As I understand it, with a 14T clutch bell, the 8IGHT is geared slightly taller than other cars. With a 13T clutch bell, it might be geared a little shorter than other cars on the market. These are neither good nor bad things, just other tuning adjustments. I have only run my car on larger, flowing tracks, and the stock gearing helped my car remain driveable, and FAST on the straightaway!

Try it and see what happens, then come tell us, we'd like to know as well. I haven't read about anyone using that setup, most of us just did it the way Losi engineers told us to.

Adam tried an all-carbon clutch in his 8T at the RC Pro race last weekend and it seemed to work pretty good, but I don't know what clutch springs he ran, nor do I have any official report on the condition of the shoes after the race or how well he thinks it worked.

The stock clutch works well. Take the clutch apart every once in a while and file the burrs off the corners of the shoes, and it'll work just fine.

I hated doing that and like the carbons I run with my werks clutch.

Try sending an e-mail to Horizon. The fuel line coming out of my tank had a slice in it. Not enough to leak, but definitely would not trust. Horizon responded within a day or 2 and sent me new fuel line.
