This was my first buggy (although I have had trucks for a few years) and I would not have any other one - you definately cannot drive it like some others, but as long as you are smooth the car is faster then most of us ever will be

Default other filter foam?

Anyone know of another make/model of air filter foam that will fit on the stock 8ight air filter housing?

The Losi part (losa9151) has been backordered for what seems like forever. I'm tired of waiting. There's got to be another foam element that's close in size that I can make work.

Any ideas?

Looks like Power Save Racing makes them and A-main's got'em. Thanks.

Any others that fit that my local hobby shop might have on the shelf? I hate to pay shipping for such a low-dollar item if I can avoid it.

Thanks.

I know that the Mugen filters don't fit cause I tried them. I'm actually using 3 filters. The Losi inner outer (oiled with Belray) and an OFNA black pre over all of that. Works pretty good so far.

Belray can be found at any motorcycle shop that sells dirt bike accessories. It's air filter oil.

I tryed the power save racing filters. You need to oil them pretty good because the foam is kind of course. The first one I ran did not have enough oil on the outer & the inner got dirty (on the outside only). I think the pre oiled losi filters are pretty good. To be honest I like the Losi ones better.

The only problem I've got with the Losi filters is that Losi doesn't seem to be making enough of them. I can't find them on the shelf anywhere, and Horizon doesn't even give an expected delivery date (not that it would mean much anyways).

Rock oil is supposed to be the deal! Very sticky and cleans with plain water. Where'd you get it?

I actually got it from my cousin because I was told any dirtbike oil works and he is a dirtbike fanatic and just happened to have a few of them on his shelf. So I really couldnt tell you where to get it, maybe a cycle shop or something?
