Get some kit shock towers as the ones on the RTR bend wicked easy. Trust me I have a RTR that is pretty much the kit now. But it doesnt really matter because outta the box is top-of-the-line buggy and has got to be the best RTR ever! With the DX2 and 2 spektrum receivers is an awesome deal. Go have fun!!!

Does anybody use a Team Orion V6 clutch system? in a OS RG? or a GO.21? or any motor? I want to put it in the 8ight but would like a little insight first. Thank You.

TREBOR -
If you have not purchased that clutch yet you might want to consider the Works version. The Orion clutch is not made correctly and has some consistancy issues.
The Works clutch uses 4 shoes. We like the combination of 2 carbon and 2 roulon shoes. Use the gold spring and set the nut to 1.75 mm from flush with the end of the nut.
You will soon find out why all the top onroad racers use roulon in their clutches where they have max traction as well as max horsepower. When set properly you will run a whole season without changing shoes.

JRR -
Your carb barrel is sticking! They do not like to be pulled in a non-linear manner. Some brands are very sensitive to being pulled straight. Take it to a proshop and show them your setup. Tell them you want to get it as straight as possible where you are not pulling accross the motion of the barrel. If you can't get it figured out then you need to get some pictures up so we can help better.

This is by far the fastest buggy I've ever driven! I raced outdoors for the first time and it was great. I can push this car really hard and it's very easy to control. My average lap was more than two seconds faster than anyone else in the A. The fastest lap compared to my average was also only 1/2 second apart (pit stop included) in a 10 minute main. I could only race indoor offroad a few times in the last half year and didn't do bad but it wasn't all that great (setup wasn't too good). I've relied alot on this forums good info and tips the past couple weeks to get the car ready for outdoor. I started with the Truhe Nitro Challenge setup and changed the center diff oil, rear swaybar, fr & Rr droop, drilled pistons, shock oil, +2 hubs & clutch springs...Ok, I guess that's alot of changes but the car did get faster every round. I'm starting to really learn setup changes and their effects after 5 yrs of racing. Thanks

Got a question about tires for the 8B I'd like to ask the guys from CA, AZ, TX. Yesterday out track in Joliet, IL was as dry, blown out and chunky as the pictures I've seen of some of your tracks during the A-mains.

I've been to Johnny Cool Guys in Euless,TX with 103 Degree weather and no track watering at the 2005 USMTC race and the track was like that.

What buggy tires/foams are you guys running that last more than one or two races? I'm thinking Knuckle 2.0's or Gecko's. Thanks

Just wondering if anyone has mounted the 8ight kit step pins to proline or other wheels besides losi wheels, or are they only made to be used with losi wheels?

I always use the Losi bells. You can use them on any clutch setup. You just have to shim them correctly.
I have not had a problem with them at all.
The Losi bell allows me to keep the motor futher to the rear so I don't change the handeling or mis align the carb. I like my stuff nice and straight.
