Sounds like your idle screw isnt set right. When you hit the brakes it could be shutting your carb completely.

Also I heard there were some running changes in parts including the steering ends.

Rc pro series rules are 310 mm width (12.2") If they check it with a box like they do electrics I dont think it would pass with any camber if using 2mm wider hexes.

Looks like the 3 deg. toe-in/2 deg. anti-squat plate as losi8ight has answered above. Have you been able to try that set-up yet. You can use the 3T/3A rear plate, it wouldn't hurt. But if the track gets blown out and rough, run the 3T/2A plate.

Default Rear plate by M2Cracing.com

contact Mitch at M2Cracing.com or go on Carolinasrc.com site for the 3/3 rear plate. The pins ride in balls in the plates and you do not have binding problem.

The Kyosho rod ends fit great and are almost the same exact length as Losi's. The Losi balls fit fine and the part number is KYO1296 for a pack of 12 for about $5. They are pretty durable but like almost all plastics they get a little brittle in the cold. The IFW150 has 4 rod ends (same ones as KYO1296) and 2 turnbuckles but is about $15.

I'm glad it passes tech like that because I want to try making it to a couple RCPro races this year (if I can find somewhere to put the kids). But Roar rules for 1/8 buggy are 310mm width max. not 330mm (that's the max. wheelbase). The thing that threw up the red flag for me was that Losi states on their website that the cars width is 308mm...adding that 4mm would put it over the legal width. I hope noone would say anything about 2mm

No I have not had a chance to run this set-up as of yet, the only track that is open here in the Portland area is only open four time a month due to noise issues. and I can only attend the week-end open sessions due to work issues. so the track will be open the 28th weather permitting, so that will be
when I can try this set-up. I do have springs and sway-bars coming so this will help. I forgot to order pistons though.
Erik.

I'm sure a lot of places would let you get away with it. But at any big races like the ROAR Buggy Nats - I'm more then sure that would be a no go.

So what are we using? The mugen turnbuckles or the Losi?
