really good choice in servo's, set it up according to the sheet that is supplied with the car, then have someone look it over that is either running an 8ight and has no issues or someone really experienced.

I would suggest you start with a Z590, make sure your setup is correct. If not, you could burn up one of those nice $120 servos...

I was running the same servos, but I found with my 1600 nimh battery I wasn't getting enough power to the servos, so the steering would cut off every so often. I thought it was a setup issue, but I changed rx and tx and the problem still consisted.

I talked to hi-tec and the man on the phone said I was describing a power issue. i purchased a lipo to test it out but have yet to try it out.

So now i run the 5955 for throttle and an airtronics for steering.

If you are using Lipo, are you using a regulator? Because the volts are 11.7 or something like? Please describe your setup.

Thanks,

Manny

The lipo will definately get ya enough power! I run a 2600 mah pack and it runs my 9000t and 9000s servos for a whole day of racing (about 5 hours at the track)

Anyone have a good source for making numbers for your 8ight? For the side of the wing, etc? Looking to get some made for the RC Pro Series.

I picked up the novak lipo regulator to control the amount of juice, but now that I think about it, with the regulator it may be to low at its only a 6amp, only testing it will tell. We'll see.

I was soldering my lipo last night when my stupid dog jumped on my lap, lets say the negative and positive wires on my lipo touched and we had a fire so it may be a little longer before I get to test it out.

Sorry to hear about that. I know what pets can do. Does anyone want my wife's cat?

Once you get things setup, post back.

Thanks,
