Ronny.A, what tires are those? Also good points about the tires. I didn't think about the concrete tracks or tracks with surfaces other than dirt. I only know of one track in America that has a concrete section.

Those are the Hobao Minipin tires. (84103) We use them on hard-packed snow/Ice. Yeah, you read me right.. Crazy Norwegian's, huh - haha

Btw, regarding different compunds,. that might be the hot ticket on the 8ight - as the front grabs hard compared to the rear.. Try some M3's in the rear, M2's in the front. Heck . you might even make a good balance trying a set of XTR's also. Testing will tell for sure.

Sorry for the confusion..I was referring to the nova 053 pipe.....I believe (not 100% sure though) that the Ninja 2053 is not like the nova 053 pipe in that the Ninja pipe is a 3 chamber pipe as opposed to 2 chamber for the nova...the nova 053 was the one that had the best powerband....here is the graph if I can manage to get it here.....

Interesting. After comparing the Ninja motor EB Mods dyno results side by side to the Go Tech 5 port the Go wins on all accounts. Better bottom end, better top end and less sensitive to pipe changes. Thanks for posting the Ninja chart.

Hey guys, I just got my first 1/8th scale: the 8! Unfortunately the clutch nut will not thread more than 3-3 threads onto my engine! I have tried both my WS7II and my S7 Europa. Any suggestions? I have tried cleaning it too. No clue.

EDIT: Nevermind, I boiled the clutch nut and used a toothpick as there was some gunk in the threads.

Hey Rich, is that a Dean's connector on there? I have the same starter box and was going to get that battery pack. Judging from the photo, it looks like all you did was pop in a Dean's connector. Is that all you had to do to get that pack to work?

Ok so does anyone else have any insight into an allround pipe to use with the Ninja .21. Because quite honestly I'm a little bit confused....

very interesting graph there...it does indeed appear that go 21 has more power then the Ninja and it is less finicky on pipes???!!! Hmm....wish I would have seen that before!! Nevertheless, I love my Ninja and if you are running one, get yourself a Nova 53 pipe, Sportworks 053 pipe, the like. From first hand experience, the JP-1 does not work as well as these on the Ninja

Hi On the Ninja, use the Ninja 2053 pipe with the Long manifold - it produces a very correct powerband for the engine. Also the Novarossi 2008 is a good pipe for it. From the two, I used/would use the Ninja, it's SUPERB with the engine, giving it a very "electric" feeling, and are good on milage. The NR pipe gives slightly longer runtime, but doesen't feel as "right" as the Ninja. They are both 3 chambers!

I have been looking at getting this buggy. Dirt is about to start soon here, and I have been racing Hyper 7's for the past 2 years. I know that the Hyper 7's are somewhat old. One of the main reasons why I want the Losi 8 is because the Hobby Store is going to stock all the parts for it. With my Hyper 7.... I had to have 2 buggies, 1 to race and 1 for parts. I have done OK with the Hyper 7.... but I think the 8 is much better then the 7's..... Has anyone out there gone from Hyper 7 to the Losi 8 ?? What did you think??? I guess I am just looking to hear some really good things before I laydown $500 for the kit.
