rezenclowd3, Air8...thanks for the feedback on the servo's. The futaba BL servo's sound interesting...think I'll give them a try!

Does anyone prefer one body over another for the 8ight T?? JConcepts or the original Losi...?

Thumbs up

My buddies and I have all started using these servos. They are very nice. Being brushless, they should be a little more energy efficient, more consistant through their life cycle and just simply last longer than a servo that has a brushed motor.
I noticed the response immediatly getting better when I switched from the standard 451s in my buggy to the BLS451s. I too use them for both throttle and sterring.
The BLS351 is in my truck and is money very well spent in my book. Being that these have a little higher torque than the older servos is what gives them the feeeling of having more response.
I love them.

When the 8-T first came out I did not like the looks of the body. But after seeing the other bodies that have come out, and using the stock body, I must say I really like it. I retains a truck look without being goofy. Even the RTR 8-T body has different proportions and seems too different for my liking. I need buy a couple of the Race Roller bodies before Losi stops making them. That way I'll have that body for a long time.

Tex1...Glad to see I was in the ball park with the BL servo's. I'm used to running BL motors in Touring car...the efficiency is way better!

Air8...I did not notice that the RTR and roller bodies are different...thanks for mentioning that. It looks to me that the non Losi bodies seem to sit a bit higher as well. I think I will do the same and pick up a few roller bodies.

It all depends on what engine you run and what sort of powerband you want. There are a few variables when it comes to pipes. Technically they all do the same thing but you will find some are better in different powerbands than others. I don't think being a buggy or truggy really matters how the pipe will perform.

I'm new to nitro, so bare with me...

Since this pipe is considered "long", I'm more concerned with it simply not fitting the 8ight T with the motor so far forward on the chassis. The price is right at $45 and the pipe is said to produce good bottom end so it should work well for my engine and our local track...if it fits?
