I've been running a Dynamite Platinum Series .28 (DYNP5230 ) with a Sportwerks HT pipe (SWK9203). It's got really good power and 7-9 mintute runtime.

I'm running an STS .30 and an STS 0702 pipe, a little less than 200 for both. I know the .30 is not legal for most tracks, but they make a .28 thats supposed to be good. I haven't timed mine since breakin, but i think i'm getting close to 15 minutes on a tank on my track, It is very technical and the Losi doesn't use all the power so that might help. I am still running the insert as well, might take it out for local racing

Hi guys, got a question to ask on the 8T.

Saw that they have a kingheadz rear extended chassis brace for the 8T, are they good? I read that you will need to drill holes on the chassis to fix in the rear brace?

Also which proline tires are meant for truggies, what are the diff for the crimefighter M2 or crimefighter M3?

Thanks

I put about 45 minutes of track time on it Sunday. It worked out great and did it's job quite well. No hinderance in handling or suspension at all. Another buddy of mine, who also runs an 8T,is a machinist of 15 years. He's gonna try to find the time to mill up a few of these. That way,the edges won't be so crude, and all of the cuts will be straight and true. He's going to use mine as a template,of sorts.
BTW,I also burnt out my first throttle servo in the truck so far. 4 gallons through it,so I guess that isn't too bad.

Hi A_Chair_In_Hell, I haven't tried the setup yet, still waiting for my OS pipe to deliver it to me. Do you already have the OS 2050 pipe, cos it's really hard to find it in any hobbyshop now, you can order it from rc-mushroom thou, they still have stock for it. From what I gather, I was told to match the pipe with the JP3 header, the OS 2050 pipe has tons of torque while the JP3 header will give it a higher speed. I'll let you know once I tried it, it has to be after mid June thou exams just round the corner

Yeah, I think I can stall another few weeks. It's hard to resist the urge to buy the one at my LHS everytime I go in. I always get it down off the shelf and oogle.

Red face I think that is backwards.....

Art - If you put a longer header on the pipe it will give you more torque at lower RPM. If your clutch engages a little early the motor will just push right through it.
The short header will give you higher RPM.
For truck you are prob going in the right direction.
I keep 3 pipes and 3 different headers for tuning.
Hope this helps,
TEX

Wow, I'm just like you, I've got everything lined up and waiting. Once my pipe comes and my exams over, it's off to the track.

PS: I love nipples too
