Hey doc,
Like the bodies, especially the truggy! You paint those yourself? I picked up a 8ight-T on Friday (to go with the 8ight), so our local truggy class should be pretty full this year. I think there were 4 others sitting there held!

so what motor is everyone running in their 8ightT? a vg or a 21bf with a jp2 is pretty good on our small-ish tight track in an 8ightB. ya think they got enough rip for the T?

I ran my 8ight-T yesterday.
I bought it, took it to the track, robbed everything out of the 8ight, threw some paint on it and started it up.
I did have the brake disk catch the caliper and jam up, but a quick swap to the "green" pads had it up and running in no time.
I put about 10 tanks through it yesterday.
For the first time driving a Truggy it was Awesome. This truck turns!!
I did add the 3T/2A plate in the rear and went to the long ackerman. I really had a blast with the Truck. Everything was built well.
Not only on looks, I turned faster laptimes in Truck than the Buggy class. That was the 14tooth bell too. It still had plenty of acceleration.

JP B5 MOD with a JP-3.
One more interesting thing....
I only had two of the JR 9000s's left over in my box so I went ahead and installed them in both spots. I figured that it wouldn't have enough torque for the truggy but I tried it anyway. I was WAY off. that servo is perfect.....it's fast as hell and it whips those tires around with ZERO trouble.
I'm going to swap my JR 9000t I have in my 8ight out also and see how I like it.
Why do you think everyone always says you need big time torque for a buggy or truggy?
I've been into 1/8 scales for a couple years and I always thought you needed something over 200oz/in. The 9000s only has 128oz/in

will my Mugen starter box, setup to start my 8ight, also start my 8ight-T?
I don't have the box with me so i thought I'd ask you guys. Will it line up with the position of the pins set for the 8ight or will I have to re-set the pins to start the 8ight-T?

one more thing.........
any advice on a good all-around wheel/tire package? I want something different than the Losi setup but I'm not sure what to get.
part numbers would be great. I'm new to the truggy thing and I don't understand the differences in the off-sets and tire sizes. any info would be great.
I was looking at getting a set of Bowties but not sure what size or what type of wheel.
Are there any good pre-mounts?
