It's so cool to hear people excited about their toys, regardless of what it is!

Sracer,

Can you post a little comparison in between the Mugen MBX5T and the 8ight T.

Acceleration, jumping, cornering, rough track handling, overall feel.

losi 8ight buggy & truggy brakes

Hi guy's

I'm having trouble with the brakes on my losi 8ight getting stck on once they have been applied !!!!!!!!

I was wondering if other manufactures make brakes to fit this car as well.

Any help will be much appreciated.

spinall4, Take off power was awsome. I would say that the jumping was close to the same feel. The losi maybee felt a little lighter apon landing.Cornering was great, it seamed to be a little loose exiting on power if you got carried away with the throttle but was very fast if controlled. I think 5K rear diff fluid is a bit much so I am going to try 2K and I think that will help. The overall feel of the truck felt very nimble just like the buggy. For anyone getting one make sure you go through it good. I found alot of loose screws and replace the gas line on the brake linkage with some thats not so soft or you will have no brakes.

Bundy, Take the spring out of an ink pen and cut 4 pieces just big enough to fit between the calipers it will push them apart when brakes are releast.

It's really important to check the driveshafts too, to make sure they are loctited.

heehee... I ran mine box stock and everything was dialed. Nothing came loose or anything.

Only thing I touched was the front toe... it was a little more toe-out than I wanted. One thing I should have touched but didn't was the brake pad clearances. The front rotor seized up solid... then later the rear rotor must have also because it stripped out... rounded the hole... so no rear brakes, lol.

But that's my bad... the instructions clearly tell you to check that and I didn't do it.

I didn't even check the ride height or drop or anything and this truck hauled ass... drives awesome!

I jst bought one tonight. I dont know why I did it because I have TQed and won every club race ive entered with my STR. I guess I will try the8T for a few weeks t decide which one to keep. The 8T looks beefier while weighing about the same.

Are any setup sheets available yet?
