AIR he said Zero not 3/4 or Full offset.

and rjs_13203 it wont work like you think it will...the rims will rub the arms on full travel and it would make the truck REAL twitchy..sure you might have all the steering in the world...but its advantages are outweighed by the disadvantages

Ooops. I gotta quit making posts so late in the morning. I'm thinking too much about getting home at that time.

traxxs titan's for 20$ a pop or basically any cheep 23-27turn motor will do the trick....If you have any on-road buddy's....go see if they got a couple spare 27's or something you could buy for cheep.

I just picked up a T with a killer price of $400 brand new. I'm wanting to put some of the 2.0 parts on it. The radio tray with the linkages that come out later in Dec, the dust boots/ pin retainers, the rear gear box is the same I assume, center diff mount, and anything else I feel will help out. My question I guess is, are the 2.0 gear box inserts and the old inserts the same? Also will the new style droop screws fit or will I have to wait untill the 8ight T 2.0"<---it's comming" comes out. Anything else you guys can think of would help. I have an 8ight, so I know of some of the weak spots like the rear hinge pins ect.

the rear gear box is different...and the inserts are also different...so no the 1.0 alum inserts will not work...there's nothing different about the actual droop screw's...its the chassy....ill get some pics up of what i did to my 1.0 chassy when i first got my 2.0....Make sure to get the new rear knuckles and a pair of 3.5 outter pins....they look uber strong and prolly wont be bending any time soon......for the linkages.....you need to wait for them to release the parts....make your own...get some longer brake rods and a throttle rod and whamo 2.0 linkages.....Pics to follow.

You didn't just sit those flat heads in the chassis after you drilled out the chassis? How did you secure them??

i didn't have a tap on hand....but i did have Cap head version's of the threads i needed.....it was kinda hokey pokey...but made my own threads with the cap head screws as the Counter's had WAY too small of a hex to secure them......basically i drilled it to 3/32 then slowly cranked the 3/32 cap head through the hole...using tapping fluid and going real slow and 1/2 way through i would ream it again with the 3/32 bit to take the edges off the threads on the chassy.....then used Red loctite and screwed them in.......ideal situation tho would be to buy a proper sized tap........i WILL NOT be responsible for guys without enough skill to perform this mod.....the holes HAVE TO BE in the right spot or else you butcher a purfectly good chassy

yes i cut the extra threads off the bottom of the chassy with a Cut off wheel on the dremel and make it nice n flush

Maybe I should have been clearer. The gear box for the 8ight and 8ight T are the same correct? So I can pick up the 2.0 gear box and put it on my T. I figured the inserts were different so I just thought I would ask.

Thanks

yes you can use the 2.0 box but you need a pack of shims with it as well.
