if its been a while since your last drove your car....you will need to retune the carb....that would be my first thing to check...sure there are mechanical things that can cause that....but i would think the more obvious first...like the tune.

I had bought the truggy used. I haven't got to drive the thing yet as I needed to replace a few things and now when I start it I give it gas and it kills. Once in awhile the engine will rev but no movement of wheels...

Default 8ight / 8ight T fuel tank

Hey guys, I thought I remember reading on here about the 8ight fuel tank having issues with cracks or holes... people coating them in shoe goo, etc... I didn't find anything doing a quick search of the thread. But, other than the cap spring, has anyone had problems with the tank not holding pressure causing tuning issues?

I was fighting a tuning issue yesterday and made the mistake of changing more than one thing at a time... I changed the tank AND turned a needle - DOH! The tune was better, still not quite right, and I am not sure if the tank might have been partially to blame. No bubbles, leaks, or anything visable, but changed it to eliminate the possibility. Thanks!

You are looking for :
LOSA6240 5-40 x 1/2” Caphead Screws (10)........................... $2.50
The eight screws that come with the one piece mount are all the same size. The four that bolt the engine to the upper mounts should have a small #4washer on them. I like to use loctite on the screws bolting the engine to the upper mounts, but not the bottom screws mounting the upper mounts to the lower mount. I do regular clutch maintenance at the track so they don't get a chance to loosen up.

There have been some people that have problems with the Losi tanks. But not too many. It might be why Losi has updated the new tank on the 2.0. Maybe you could get the new 'sure close' lid and see how that does. Overall I don't believe there to be a consistent problem with the original tank.

No. I really can't imagine the truck being any better. Anyone else?

Any real advantages to the aluminum hubs/spindles besides the fact that they look kinda cool? Thanks
