Has anyone tried the KHZ extended engine mount?

http://www.carolinasrc.com/webstore/...idproduct=4251

I just put one into my 8ight-T and if it works well, I might get one for the buggy... Its pretty cool looking too... Goes all the way up to the rear tank mount. Should stiffen up the clutch area and maybe clutch bearings will last longer?

I've put a new, wet gasket on at each tear down. So I'm unsure why there is so much fluid leaking.
You could try this.. It worked well for me and my buggy center diff, just might get one for the truck too?

So when did you get a T?

I've used the extended KH mount since the first day I owned the truck. So I'm not sure what the difference is between the two. But I wouldn't get your hopes too high thinking it will make bearings last longer. It's still only a couple weekends worth of RC Pro races and they're done. All the practice, qualifiers, mains, and bump-ups really takes it's toll in 1/8 racing.

I got it friday, with a cheap motor, decent servos, losi start box, and a set of tires... Bought a set of Crime Fighter's at HobbyTown friday too... So pretty much good to go, selling the losi start box on ebay since I love my ofna truggy box so much! Just need a couple more sets of tires and maybe a better steering servo (has a 94358 in it, want a 5955) and it will be gtg...

Yeah I know, bearings dont last forever, thats why I have a sleeve of each on hand at most times!

This is gonna sound crazy but I had awesome luck with my Ofna Force .28 and a JP-2 pipe, got 10 minutes of runtime at 210 degrees

What kinda budget and what are you doing with it? Race or bash?

I have been loving the Mach 427 engines. I tell the pit man to call me in at the 8 minute mark. Great power and it pulls awesome off the corners. The low to mid pipes are a bit much so a mid or mid to high pipe would suit it better.

I also ran a Novarossi Plus 21-5k for a couple races. It was very smooth but didn't have the punch like the larger 427. Again it's an 8+ minute motor.

The LRP/Picco .28s are ballistic on power and they go 7+ minutes. I've never run one of these but some friends do. Watching their truggies pull wheelies really makes me want to get one.

When I started in truggy I put in my 3 port Novarossi 21BF and it was nice. Not as explosive as the above mentioned but it worked well. You can focus more on driving lines than trying to real the truck back in and get it under control.

Right now I'm really leaning towards the LRP .28 or the RB S5. I'd like to stick with a .21 engine but seeing those LRPs rip is too cool.

hey all thanx for the help. ya i really wasnt expecting much out of that engin quite as of yet cuz i finished the truggy on friday, broke it in on saturday, and then raced with it on sunday.

rite now im using drakes basic setup. 13/48 gearing, although i think im gonna go up to a 14t. running 2 dynamite max life with golds i think nd 2 compsites with silvers (cant remember exactly on the springs, its either that or vice versa) and a jammin jp3 pipe.

the truck ran good but it just seemed like a dofg on the track, but when i pulled it off it was a fiesty little thing. so im back to the drawing board with some tuning tmw nite and hopefully get it running a little better.

Well, if your budget allows, I am running RB c6bb. Really all I can say is INCREDIBLE.

Obviously the down side is cost.

I was running a LRP .28 spec 3. It was really fast, tons of power, SUCKED gas like it was Gatorade, and went through clutches like they were disposable q-tips.
Obviously the upside is cost. But I quickly decided that I would rather spend the money up front.

BTW, I have a LRP .28 spec 3 for sale =) (looks brand new, raced 4 times)

I saw the OS .28 XZ this weekend and its an absolute ROCKET! Very impressive!

There are many to choose from but depending on the price range, its up in the air!

I have heard the Jammin mills are pretty good... They have a .21 and a .28

You can go all the way up to the $400+ price range with the supersweet GRP engines...

I agree the C6 is very nice!

Na, I've just bought a Sirio CL7B 4 my losi 8ight T and that goes like an absolute rocket. I would reccommend one of them to you. Plenty of power, they rival some of the .28 motors that are goin around.
