Yep, Rit Dye. That's the stuff you want. And leave them in the dye for much longer than you think. Otherwise they come out dark purple.

My Losi was raced for the first time today and I had a problem I need some help with. While jumping and the nose falls down it cuts out like it is running out of fuel then when it lands it takes a few seconds to clear out. When I check the in tank filter it was fully sumerged in fuel. I can turn the truck in all different positions while holding it and it does not do this until I hold it by the wing or even at a 45 degree angle with the nose down. It just acts like it is not getting enough pressure to move the fuel into the carb. I changed the fuel line and also tried moving the filter in different posistions in the tank. My freind has one and it does it also but a few others had them and theirs is fine. Sorry this post is so long but I need help. Thanks in advance.

I have posted this in the nitro forum also. I just need quick help. Thanks again.

how high from the ground can you drop your truggy without the chassis bottoming out?

Same here. Maybe two feet with 50wt or higher and the heavy springs.

Normally I drop mine from less than a foot, usually using 45-40wt front oil with 55piston, and 30-40wt with 56 piston.

Many times i have too much crap laying on the bench to do the drop. So I just lift the truck till tires are off the ground and then drop. Then push down several times quickly on the front and rear shock towers. Kind of like tapping the towers.

I try to stay with the same technique for a while. But sometimes I switch it around for no reason.

I had the same problem on mine, Not exactly which thing I did was what cured my problem but here are the two things I did so maybe you can at least look and check them out. 1) I took the upper needle valve out and put a small amount of thread sealer on the threads and retightened it back down, I think the spring for the throttle may have loosened it up just enought to allow a small amount of air in to the carb chamber. It was loose enough I could move it by hand. 2) I also replaced the oring that I had in my in-line fuel filter. It kept bogging down like it wasn't getting any fuel right after a good jump or roll. one of the two things seems to have fixed the problem as it hasn't reoccurred now in well over a month.

Thanks, I will try that. I have a new tank on the way and I am going to do one thing at a time to see which is the problem. I will check my needles first. Thanks again.

Has anyone else had this problem???
