Just make sure you heat the case evenly if you use a heatgun. In the oven, the case is completely heat soaked evenly.

We have ran a Ofna 086, Rb 9886, and my son liked the 9901 best. He said it was the smoothest in the middle, Hottinger said it would be the best on fuel.

Got to finally run my Hot Mods PLUS 21-5K in a race last weekend. I was wrapping up the break-in at the JConcepts Clash event in Lake Park, FL.

Motor was good! I think it is still coming into full power as I run it more, but so far, she's making good steam!

Temps in the 220~230F range, and idles great.

Using a JP-3 Pipe. Ambient temps were 70~88F throughout the day. Didn't really have to adjust it as the Ambient temps changed.

So far, it's a great motor in my book...

ran the 2006 pipe today and it felt awsome!! strong although controllable bottom end with a good top end. Had 1/3 of a tank left after 6 mins of running. will try the 9901 next week.

to use the rod without the bushing on the wrist pin side you will need the coated wrist pin that goes with it ! put a standard rod either r4 or r7 , dont use those axe rossi rods on ebay (JUNK!!!) . the r5 rods by novarossi seemed to be milled out too much on both sides , seen them snap 3 times (not in my engines) if you dont know what to do , you should let someone that knows a thing or two about engines replace the rod for ya , should check the wrist pin or just replace it while it is torn apart . if the rod is wore out , there is usually more wore out than just the rod !!! fyi

if you wanna send it to portland(LOL) with the parts(i can get parts also) and return shipping i will inspect and return the engine in the best it can be condition !!! pm me if interested

hopefully you pulled both seals off the bearing ? the side with the plastic cage goes towards the carb .

they changed the vertical transfer ports to the rear intake side of the sleeve instead of being toward the exhaust , added some fuel flow diverters into the case and also made the exhaust on the sleeve a little taller and less angle .
the plus 21-5 is basically a p5 with a plus style crank
