E-Truggy Anyone?
Just wondering if anyone plans to run a e-truggy this coming year. Tamiya has a heck of a deal on the trf801xt truggy for $99 shipped. Its the standard kit without the new shorter arms and reconfigured towers. So i picked one of theses up. Trying to decide what to do with it. Go electric or nitro? rc-monster has the electric conversion for it for another $100.
So anyone plan to run e-truggy next year or will I be better off keeping it nitro?

well i ordered the conversion for the 801xt as well, if the class don't take off i will just use it for bashing. Going to try a reedy 1515 motor since i have a new one with nothing for it to go into. If the class takes off then i will go the Tekin route.

I saw that kit and almost ordered it....crazy deal right there!!

I am thinking about ordering a second just for parts, but i feel bad already for ordering it from tamiya and not supporting the plex. So i will just order the parts that i have read that seem to break more from there. But i really don't think Tim or Alex could of got me a 801xt for $99. The Brushless conversion cost more than the truck did @ $107 shipped.

I'd be down to try it if I can find a cheep associated roller that I can convert

Yes I will be getting one over the winter. I hope we can get this class going. After watching the nitros last night how could you not want one.

They take paypal so if you have the billmelater on your account you have 6 months to pay without Interest.
There are a few companies that make a brushless conversion for this truck. I ordered the rc-monster one, but i am going to see if that kit will allow me to keep the mechanical brakes to help keep motor temps down. Will see how that goes after the kit and the conversion arrive.

I'm interested!
I have a tmaxx that I already have converted to a truggy. Still needs a few tweaks and electronics. Really like to see how it would run. If it doesn't hold up the tamiya sounds like a smoking deal.

This goes for anyone else after I get it built.
Tamiya takes 3 days to ship so I will have the kit middle of next week.

I thought they were sold out but that's the performance package
