No desire at all to run 17.5 1/12.

Like Z said, I'd like to see more people in the class, so 17.5 would be OK if that occurs. However, I know a number of racers have made recent investments in 1s 13.5 motors. Primarily due to that, along with the timing of this discussion, my vote would be 13.5.

Now that you got me thinkin bout stuff. Am I the only one that thinks the new qualifying format is flawed due to the Triple A Mains. Given your less than 60 second qualifier places you in, or out of position to win the points. If you dont make the cut for the a-main in those < 60 seconds, you dont have an opportunity to advance. Shouldn't a person in the B main have an opportunity? I think they should. The MWS used to run all of their fuel mains the same time duration, then your final finishing position was determined by where you finished overall in laps/time, across the whole class (a to z main). So, a person in the B main could have a stellar run and win the points for that event. If you're going to do the 5 lap deal, then you need to have some mechanism in place so those outside the triple As have an opportunity to advance.

Sorry I'm late to the conversation.

I would much prefer 17.5 for 1/12 scale. But I'll run whatever the majority prefers. (We have been running 17.5 at Fastlane and at Dee&Mee in Topeka.)

So for me:
1/12
TC
USGT
VTA

Looking forward to it!

Default 12th scale

If I had a vote, 13.5 would be it!

Building new 12th scale. Would really like to run 17.5.

I'm in for 12th scale either way. Never driven a 12th scale before so I guess my first thought would be to run 17.5 because those 13.5 look fast as hell, but I'm in either way.

Corner speed between 13.5 and 17.5 is going to be almost identical, and that's what makes the cars look fast. You're just going to be going a little bit quicker down the straights with a 13.5 car.

If we're changing motors, I'd (still) like to see it go the other way... 10.5t blinky would be a riot!

The problem with 10.5 is that we would quickly be back to having very few people racing because of breakage.

Running 17.5 will cut down on broken parts. Therefore, people will have more fun and race more.

I have no problem with 13.5....I like it.....but, any place else you go race, 17.5 seems to be the big class.

Time to put in my time off requests for work, and decide what cars to run. Mini and VTA for sure, but I also have an F1 and a USGT car ready to go... hmm decisions decisions.

Will there be a Spec tire for 17.5 TC?
