TCS is approaching fast. Can't wait to visit the PLEX. I'm looking to have lots of fun with my toy cars. I'm testing a few different bodies for GT2 if anybody wants to share info?

I painted more than a few but kept going back to nsx. I'm having a hard time finding a non ifs nsx, any one else? My tamiya bodies are quiet heavy, especially after adding all of the decals.

Yeah , finding a non-ifs body in general is getting harder. I'm running a calsonic impul z. I like the body but not the paint job (came with the chassis when I picked it up used)

From what I have tested so far you could almost run any Tamiya body. The biggest thing is the weight of the body. The heavier bodies causes a lot of chassis roll. If Tamiya keeps the bodies around 100g I would be happy to run any Tamiya body. In low bite condition you don't notice it as much. If you watch the TCS World in 2010 almost all of the bodies are nsx. My nsx does weigh a little less than all of the others.

I also tried their light weight body but it is too flimsy to run.

The molded plastic wing is good for looks but generates almost no down force.

The hobby shop had a 2003 NSX when I looked a few days ago. Not sure if its been snatched up yet. I kinda had my eye on it. I wish Tamiya's description were more consistent when it came to bodies. Some descriptions say only for IFS some do not even though I know they are IFS only. I'm going to run an R8 for sure and I also have an R35 GTR. I didn't care for the R35 much so am looking for something else, but what I have no idea. Anyone try a ferrari 599x? I don't think it is IFS only since I thought I heard of people running it in GT1.

I like the rx7 race body. I can remember the name if it but it was fairly light and was very, very low on the chassis

Is that body ifs only? What does it weigh? My nsx is at 121g. My Honda HSV is 140. Has anyone tried the Nissan R390 GT?

I heard the 599x is a good body also. Can the racing wing be use on the 599x?

Ya I think it is an ifs only. Non ifs bodies will always be taller then an ifs style body. Convert it!!
