Why cant roar just put really tight limits on every truck, even more then all of them being idential wheel bases, rim sizes, body dimensions ETC. Then just run a brushless class and a brushed class. If there arent enough brushless at a track and not enough brushed, merge the classes. Im sure if you have the cash to pop in a 17.5 brushless system, your pretty hardcore about rc, so you should be experienced enough to deal with all of them brushed trucks. I think its dumb to limit what manufactuer's trucks can race, thats like telling the Joe Gibbs racing team, that they can't run their toyotas in the nationwide series.

I've been thinking hard about Short Course.

Here is what I'm planning for next year's Friday and Sunday races.

Pro-Light = Stock Slash only

Pro-2x4 = Open to all 2wd short course trucks, any motor, hop ups and sct type tire.

Pro-4x4 = Open to all 4wd short course trucks, any motor, hop ups and sct type tire.

As of right now, I'm going to leave 4wd out of the 2010 Summer Series.

I hope to have a castle/thunder power powered, Roger Mears paint schemed, Losi Strike in time to throw down in the Pro-2 class.

(And just so there's no confusion Pro-20 truck will once again be called Mod Truck. lol)

Does that mean that the Mod truck will run for 10 minutes now? Instead of 20?

Excellent. Mod Truck is my favorite class, testing man and machine, speed and attrition. There are many interesting dynamics in this class not found in any other.

I agree. I'll be back in a truck next year for that reason.

I know I'm new, but why can't a stock Strike, a stock SC10, and a stock Blitz run in the same class as the stock Slash?

Because our box stock slash class is a tightly controlled spec class and the sc10 and blitz are better handling trucks out of the gate, that screw that whole idea of a spec class all to hell.

That's what Pro-2 is going to be for. Put some goosebumps or caliber sct's on your sc10 and let her rip!

A little off topic but since mod truck was mentioned earlier would a 10.5 be enough motor? I am thinking about maybe running a couple of the summer sieries events next summer. Running a 20 minute main sounds like lot of fun.

10.5 is just fine. Jeff and Andy were running 13.5's this year.
