2011 Memphis Area Rock Crawling
I'm going to post up any events that are close to Memphis in this thread. Since I will be posting up scale events and other club events, I plan on just editing that event's original post with comp results and pictures to keep this thread organized.

I have just got a venom creeper for Christmas and was wanting to know about how the competition works, how much it is, what is needed, and rules for your rig. I have raced Rcs for 4 years but am new to crawling.

Awesome! You should bring your truck up to the comp next weekend. Here is a link to the rules and it explains it all. http://www.usrcca.com/rules/2010_USRCCA_Rules.pdf Basically we have a negative points scoring system. Penalties such as taking reverses, touching a gate or your truck can add points to your score. Making a clean progression through a gate will take away points from your score. Everyone starts their course with a zero and the lowest score for the day wins. We usually run through the rules for any newbies before we start if it's needed. There is no charge for driving at a comp. No fancy equipment is needed to run a comp and there is no overhead charge or anythiing like that at our spots. As far as what you need to do well in a comp.... drive time with your truck..... you have to know what to expect out of your truck you need a good setup( do research... see what other people are running) trial and error rccrawler.com/forum signup and start soaking up the knowledge. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=157  -Ashton |

Anybody still crawling in the memphis area?
Trying to see to if there are still any active people that go out crawling in the memphis area. And also if anyone could reccomend some cool areas, that would be awesome! 1.9 scalers and 2.2 crawlers

I have a friend moving to the Memphis area in 2019 and is heavily involved in crawling here in Oregon.
*He's not much of a racer, but told him I would reach out on here to see if there are any Crawling spots or clubs in the Memphis TN area. Thanks MOmo |
