I heard some BS about they are only asking $2 million for the entire grounds? Crazy! I live in Shelby Forest about 5 miles from the track and am currently building a 96 Trans Am 454 small block with twin 88mm turbo's, whats an 1/8 mile track good for maybe 2nd gear pass?

I guess 3hrs to BG is the best choice now.

Well they now have it valued at 2.5 million,down from the orginal 9 million after loosing the bush,truck,and Mid-south Nationals dates............Freakin STUPID!!!

I think someone will buy it a 2.5ml............they will have to work it to get some big events back.....

There is a local guy here at Gleason that has a black '95 camaro with a big block and twin 88s mounted in the back of the car. Went 5.26 at 140mph on 275/60s at I57 a few weeks ago...at 3800lbs...

Is that 2.5 million for the whole place or just the dragstrip?

Im hearing that the city of memphis is trying to get it. If someone dont get it by next summer it will be gone for good

Dale Jr was looking to buy it when the price tag was 9million and passed Why hasn't he bought it now that its 1/4 of that ??? Not to mention he could easily attract the big names back!

I was out there every thursday night.......They announced that he had purchased it........the Crowd went wild!!!.....LOL!

that was around september........Never heard another word....He could for sure turn it around quicker than most.......i'm sure they probly found it not to be Profitable......Alot of the Cup guys own race facility's.........you would have to be willing to lose money until you get it going now............you might always anyway....LOL!!.

Actually i hope the city does get it, yes there is talk about building some office buildings around there but the track would stay, and they will bring back some of the events, including pump gas drags, that was for sure the best event
