MUSIC CITY CHAMPIONSHIP 2009(MCC 09')

I would like to welcome ALL TRANS-AM RACERS to one of the, if not the largest TA races in the country. We plan on setting a new bar for outdoor TA racing on asphalt. This year we hope to surpass last years event in every way.

The MCC 09' is our premier on-road race of the year. It sets the tone for the indoor season and ULTIMATE bragging rights as well as some of the best trophies around. Ive been told that believe it or not some guys who dont care about trophies, would love to have one of these.....Dirla will testify to that.

But its not all about trophies. We have FREE food for the racers and any racers travelling gets discounted, some even FREE...free food and racing, nice day of fun. We will also have the best competition anywhere looking to claim top prize.

Also instead of only one champion, our race is designed to all divisions of skill level. There will be 28 awards presented at the MCC. 1st-3rd in Expert TA, Sportsman TA and TC. 1st-5th in Jr. TA. 1st-3rd for points series champions (TA, TC & JR). Best adult paint and best junior paint jobs. And 3 special awards including Driver-of-the-Year.

Our goal is to have the most entries possible and to put on the best event around. here is the general info

Three heats and a main in each class. Trophies for all classes.

maybe your race director can work around it, like ours did so some of us could attend BTH 09'...hope that happens cause we are looking at a GREAT day of racing and fun....

We will be racing in Jonesboro for the Arkansas State Championship Series, but out of curiosity is there any truth the the rumors about your "King of TA" shirt being up for grabs at the MCC?

Myron is the touring class regular ROAR TC or is it a VTA touring type thingy that I don't know about?

Also wanted to mention I was in Nashvegas Saturday hanging out at the track while they ran the VTA enduro. I was very impressed with numerous things:

• The race went very smooth and even though there was one glitch everyone was patient and came up with a great work-around
• Other than Cornbread hollering out random words of craziness, the racers were polite and patient (at least from where I was listening/watching)
• More than one person did the announcing and they were all good. Not once did I have thoughts of stabbing my eardrums out with a 3mm wrench because I couldn't stand the announcer!

Not sure yet if I can make the 9-27 race yet, but would like to be there, especially if the TC class is regular TC

yes we will have a tc class same as BTH 09...17.5 on Jaco blues...thank you for your kind words...I put alot of energy into this race incl $$$$$..and Im going to do the same for this one...the MCC 09' is by far the most important race for us...the Cashville race was to give back to the track..thats why all the payout was from me and sponsors..and the entries went to support the track...THE MCC is to get the largest crowd possible..we will have some very important ppl looking at this race..hint hint...

talk to Sid and Q...they know we cancelled our points race so 7 of us could attend BTH 09'....its our last race on asphalt of the year...and we would love to have the Mid-south bring some of the best VTA and TC drivers to play....
if our RD does it like last year, ppl coming more than 100 miles raced for free...so free race, free food...just gas money....cant get any better than that...

stayed at some hotel there that was layed out like a big open square. cant remember the name of it.. was like 12 years ago...

we went to opryland, but this was right before they were shutting down and most of the large rides had been shut down for dismantling.

i will talk to the wife about going.. she might be all for it.

Most of you know Tim Buchanan. He raced T/A with us all last year. Yesterday, an arsonist burned down his auto shop. He lost all his tools and a pair of motorcycles.

We are going to help him out. Every dime from the 2009 MCC will be given to Tim to help him rebuild his business.

If ever you needed a good excuse to come racing this is it. Great trophies, free food, lots of fun, and all for a good cause... to give a hand to a fellow racer.

you are one of the nicest guys around Tim Moore...I told him about this and he was lost for words...

little info on Tim B....I know Tim very well and he is a great guy..he is a family man with wife and kids...he hasnt been able to come out and race as much due to finally getting his bodyshop up and running...he invested everything into it...once he got that going, he went out and bought a home in Madison...been there for almost a year...he and his family will really be needing as much help as possible....me and Tim will be talking to our churches this week...if you can help please do....
