[quote=frankrehnelt;5264709]The only exception to the usvta rules we may implement is tamiya black cans with lipos and a high fdr. I run the tt01 and if we don't end up with this option i will run a 21.5 with a 5.2 fdr.[/QUOTE

awesome you have 4 more in the class for the year i would mutch rather run this class and not have to repair daily than 13.5 where every other heat i am replacing steering nuckles

? dont understamd, i guess you will know after he first heat where the gearing stands
i have ran @ 2 differnt tracks and the speed is about equal @ both but the acceleration is different with different motor/FDR
17.5/lipo/6.0FDR/1531g > 21.5/lipo/4.21FDR/1450g this i know but top speed is the almost the same we have tested it with a novak semetry today
havnt tried a black can but i am sure it will be figured out
the way a TT-01 handles will make it have a slight disadvantage compaired to all other TC cars so i dont care if the TT-01's are faster by a fraction
cant wait till this summer

very good answer we are setting up three of these cars all tt-01 one with 17.5 me one black can 12 year old one silver can 8 year old. from running in our driveway the black can will run away from the 17.5 with stock gears 21/61 but the 17.5 will out drive the blackcan. ready to start racing.

we have to do some testing. i am waiting for jolley to finish his car. a tt01 is limited to about 5.2 fdr. it will be a little slower down the straight but so what. i'll be able to race.

a 17.5 in a tt01 will be very handicapped. with four cells and a limited range of fdr i think you will be real slow down the straight. the only way a tt01 will work is with a 21.5 or the black can option. by the way, any chassis will be allowed to run the black can option. i think the fdr for the black can option will be 7.0 to 8.0.......just a w.a.g....wild a.. guess.

I talked to Frank yesterday and he said he would have something real soon. He has a few TT-01's also.

So how many are planning to run VTA this year. I've got my T2R built. All I need to do is glue my tires and paint a body. Not sure if we are going to have enough for a class over here in Jonesboro so I may have to head over there to race.
