The availibility or lack thereof to obtain "ROAR LEGAL" motors and ESC's for this class will drive it to the brink of being a TC class - that which it was not meant to be.
Roar already has gotten involved in it and said that 21.5 lipo is the only combo that you can run at level 4 and 5 Roar events. state and club racing are excluded from this. which is good as it does eliminate the one problem this class has is that the 21.5 on certain tracks usually large has a complete advantage. the problem with the 21.5 fdr is it just killed torque and once you get a track that it can stretch its legs it runs away.

I have plenty of motors and batteries I can use.I may not be competitive but I could atleast come out and have some fun.If I can use a motor/battery combo I already have it would be great. All I'd have to worry about would be tires.
Rodney,I have some battery's i will give you....3800 matched pk's......got some brushed Hp also!...LOL!

We will not be using R.O.A.R. rules for Vintage Trans-Am. The rules listed under www.usvintagetransam.com will be used with allowances for Tamiya silver/black can motors. So who cares what R.O.A.R. wants, says and has for races. (Just my two cents worth).

The only exception to the usvta rules we may implement is tamiya black cans with lipos and a high fdr. I run the tt01 and if we don't end up with this option i will run a 21.5 with a 5.2 fdr.
