Try and avoid doing a donut for a long period of time. This overheats the motor quickly.Richen out the HSN also.

It should pull wheelies but you really need a temp gun to know how hot it is
getting, better to be safe than sorry. richen the high just a tick.

If it's running good - why make it leaner? It's better to err on the side of caution and run richer than the optimum setting. Your Savage's engine will last longer. Don't forget that if you're running with the tank that came with the truck, it will get leaner around the halfway mark. Significantly leaner! So it's best to set the carb richer with a full tank.

The Boiling sound you can hear does suggest that your engine is on the hot side, but mine sometimes makes that sound - and it's still going strong after nearly 18 months and 2 porting jobs.

Just make sure that you can see smoke when the engine revs. Also, try putting some spit on the cylinder head - if it vapourises straight away, your engine is too hot. If it bubbles for a few seconds before drying off, it's about right. If it sit's there and does nothing, you probably forgot to start the engine first!!

Hope this helps.

theres a lot of smoke especliy when I start her up
(it sounds like it could be coming from the muffler and its like you put some water on it when its hot

Oh!!! i might know!!! are you running rich? i have had this with my savage before, and i figured it out! sort of. here are three thing i have found that make that noise/sizzle
1 - loose glow plug - lets fuel leak out, and evaporate/sizzle

2 - fuel spill on engine/ engine mount - it, again, causes fuel to evaporate/burn, causing sizzling

3 - FIRE IN THE EXAUST!!! - happens if too rich, unburned fuel gets in pipe, floods up, and then catches on fire ( inside the pipe ) i learned this one when turning my engine off by putting my finger on the exaust, infact, i still am wearing the band aid... lol

so, tighten the plugs, dont spill, dont run too rich, and the sizzleing will go away, hopefully.
happy racing/climbing!!!
