I've been touting this engine forever. I had put one in a Jato a couple years ago and I thought it was SO much better than the 3.3. I swear once I had it dialed in I never had to tune that engine, it would always just start, run as long as I wanted it to and made great powe. Plus they are so cheap on Ebay.

I even used the EZ-start in mine, the Traxxas backplate fits it OK with a little grinding for piston clearance.

Really? Higher than a TZ? I love this motor and that'd be pretty cool if so.

That's right! I thought about that truck when I saw this thread underneath. Could have saved this guy tons of brain damage.. I bought my son a Ten-T a long time ago and sold it since, that thing RIPPED! Damn near beating any 1/8th scale!

Yes, you will have to use the backplate from the Traxxas motor. You'll see where you have to grind it down on top to clear the bottom of the piston. Be CAREFUL though because you can grind through it and then have a hole. I also ground just a hair from the bottom of the piston skirt to have additional clearance. Take your time and it works fine. This way you have the EZ-start on the 3.4 motor, you'll love it!

yeah I had it on eBay, had some unexpected bills come up had to sell, really sucks because I've been wanting a platinum for a while and I had just barely got this one , fitted the engine, and drove it once . I waited this long for one I can wait till income tax season fir another lol. besides my small block lst takes out revos at the track well the ones with out the center diffs of course
