Default revo 3.3 picco 28

hey guys, ive come to the conclusion that i want to throw a picco 28 in my revo 3.3. i plan on going with the traxxas big block mount, so i do plan on using a bump start engine. my only question now is, which picco 28 do i want? i have seen so many different ones.

picco p3 28
picco 28 5tr
picco jl red dot .28
jammin .28???

which one do i want? i want the one with the most power. i understand that the jl red dot revs up to 37000 and has 7 ports, but is there really a big difference in power from these 3 engines? i really like the red dot one. will it work in my revo?

Cant go wrong with the Picco 28!!! Amain has a 10% coupon on there site floating around right now. The red dot, boost 5tr and factory team turbo are all turbo button motors which imo is the only way to go. The Boost 5tr is the current model thats in production right now, the other ones u listed are discontinued. I just picked up the new Boost pull start for 197 shipped with there coupon

Go get one from Amain now while u can still get that bomb ass deal!!!

Id love to see a video of that engine when u get it all broke in. Im checking them out now. So are these new 5tr engines the replacement of the picco p3 28?

Yup Ofna has stopped carrying the P3 for whatever reason and now Triton RC is distributing the Boost 5tr as the replacement. Basically the same motor as the turbo head 28. I like the fact that Picco didnt make any drastic changes to a tried and true platform, all boost parts are interchangeable with P3.

From what I understand the only real difference is the carb? And maybe they have reduced the pinch some.. I've heard that with the Boost .28 break-in and tuning are meant to be easier.. There aren't enough of them out there yet to know very much.. Keen to hear how yours turns out... Please anyone who gets one post feedback, video, etc..

Yup updated carb with longer needles and a fined turbo button. The piston is also slightly looser in the sleeve to make break in with pull start a little easier. Cant wait to get!!!
